A Young Maiden's Daybook--Entry #18

I realized this weekend that I forgot to post my Young Maiden's Daybook for last Monday, so I decided to wait until this Monday to do it. Sorry I didn't get it done sooner! :)

Today...
August 10, 2009

Outside my window...
It's 100 degrees and the sun is starting to set.

I am thinking...
I should have done this last Monday! Whoops!

I am thankful for...
My parents

I am wearing...
A denim skirt with a white, tan, and baby blue floral blouse

I am reading...
The Bible and that's it right now, except for school books of course.

I am creating...
Nothing in particular right now.

One of my favorite things...
Reading the Bible

For education this week...
In-depth US history, physical science, Bible, literature, algebra, etc., and Driver Ed! ;)

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning...
Babysitting, cleaning, and learning how to cook with veggies, fruits, and organic foods! It sure takes a lot more preparation for our meals!

A spiritual lesson I'm learning...
To trust in God's timing; continue to stand firm; be obedient to Him; and be led by the Spirit at all times.

A godly character trait I plan to work on...
Diligence in studying God's word.

Scripture I am memorizing...
Still Isaiah 53!

I am praying for...
LOTS of things right now.

For the rest of this week...
School, chores, work, church, and a few other miscellaneous things I'm sure!

A picture I'd like to share...

This is our donkey Lil' Jack. It's funny because he has a son that we call Alpaca Jack, and Alpaca Jack has a son that we call Jack Rabbit! lol! Those two belong to our grandparents, though.

Love the donkey. We used to have a donkey when I was a kid named Jack and his son was named Jack's son, sounded like "Jackson". His mother was named after two ladies from our church. My dad picked the name. Not sure what he was trying to say. Ha!
