We recently got a new calf, and she is such a cute little cow! One of the reasons we thought it would be a good idea to get her was so that Molly wouldn't be alone once Hamburger is gone. (It should still be a few months, though!) Also, once she becomes old enough we plan on breeding her to sell her calves.
Front to Back: Molly, Darcy & Hamburger
(The cows in the background belong to our neighbor.)

(The easiest way to tell the difference between her and Molly is that she has a yellow tag in her ear and Molly does not.)
Protective Molly!

Darcy and Hamburger... so sweet!!
And, Ty -- the jealous, onlooking "pup"! :)
I hope you all are having a very blessed week... enjoy your Friday!!

Hamburger!?! I love the name - it made me laugh! I love the pictures too!
Maggie: Thank you!! She is really cute!

Chloe: Yes! We bought two bull calves to raise for organic beef, (so Hamburger won't always be around, unfortunately!) We used to have another one named Meatloaf... but he got a bad case of pneumonia and died. :( ...We thought those names were cute names for them though!

Calves are one of my favorite baby animals!
You raise organic beef?
We did for the first time this past year (SO YUMMY!!!). Are yours grass-fed or do you feed them grain? With the steer we raised we only had him on grass and hay. He never got any grain... this made a BIG difference in the meat (extra yummy :)!!

Lindsay: Thanks!! I'm glad you liked the pictures! (I meant to respond to your comment after I published it but I never did, lol! Sorry about that!) :)

Hannah: This is our first time raising our own bulls for organic beef... so we are new at it! Yes, ours feed on grass and hay only. They are most definitely some of the cutest baby animals I've ever seen!!
